I. Classification of Solid Wood Types (by Tree Species Attributes)
1. Hardwood (Broadleaf Trees)
High-end hardwoods: North American black walnut, teak, red cherry, white oak, red oak, Burmese rosewood, etc.;
Mid-to-high-end hardwoods: Beech, ash, elm, maple, etc.;
Ordinary hardwoods: Rubberwood, pine (Note: Pine is actually softwood, but is often classified as "ordinary solid wood").
2. Softwood (Coniferous Trees)
Mainly pine, fir, and cypress, with a softer texture, commonly used for structural materials and basic furniture.

Classification of Solid Wood Textures (by Cut Surface/Form)
1. By Cut Surface
Tangential cut texture: Large mountain pattern, water wave pattern, burl pattern (e.g., black walnut large mountain pattern);
Radial cut texture: Straight grain pattern, mountain pattern (e.g., black walnut straight grain pattern);
End grain texture: Annual ring pattern (generally not used for decorative surfaces).
2. By Form
Basic textures: Straight grain pattern, mountain pattern;
Special textures: Water wave pattern, burl pattern, bird's eye pattern, figured wood pattern (e.g., maple figured grain).
