What is density board?

Density board, also known as fiberboard, is a man-made board made of wood fiber or other plant fiber, with urea-formaldehyde resin or other suitable adhesives.
Classification
According to density, it can be divided into high-density fiberboard, medium-density fiberboard and low-density fiberboard.
Performance characteristics
- Advantages: The surface is often covered with melamine or veneer, with uniform structure, smooth and delicate board surface, small dimensional error, and not easy to crack. It is easy to carry out coating and veneer processing, and can be used as a substrate to develop functional materials. For example, hard density board can be made into sound-absorbing board after flushing and drilling.
- Disadvantages: The nail holding force is not strong, the expansion rate after contact with water is large, the bending resistance is poor, and it cannot be used in woodworking operations that are too humid and under too much force.
Main uses
It is mainly used for laminate flooring, door panels, partitions, furniture, etc., and is also used for surface treatment of mixed oil process in home decoration.
