Should you choose natural wood veneer or engineered wood veneer when spending tens of thousands?

🔍First trick: Check the grain consistency.

Natural wood veneer has irregular, natural, and flowing grain patterns. Each piece is unique, with growth rings, mineral lines, and other natural traces. When two boards are placed side-by-side, the grain patterns are completely different, with natural color variations and small knots.

Engineered wood veneer, on the other hand, has a very regular grain. Every piece looks exactly the same, the grain is stiff, and it lacks "vitality." When multiple boards are placed together, the grain is highly similar, and the color difference isn't very obvious, but it becomes apparent when the bulk order is delivered!

Remember: Natural products always have "imperfections." Too much perfection is actually a problem!

🔍Second Tip: Feel the Texture
Natural wood veneer has a warm, porous feel because it's made from natural wood. The grain of natural wood veneer varies in depth, and you can feel the undulations of the grain with your fingers. Its thermal conductivity is close to that of the human body, and it feels close to room temperature, giving it a warm, smooth texture.

Technical wood veneer is too smooth, like plastic. The surface has a strong sealing effect, and it feels slippery when your hands are sweaty, giving it a very strong plastic feel.

You can definitely feel the difference when you experience it in person!

🔍Third Tip: Check the Color Variation
Color variation is normal in natural wood veneer. The heartwood is darker, and the sapwood is lighter; this color variation is a natural characteristic and proves it's genuine wood veneer.

Technical wood veneer has a uniform color with almost no color variation. Absolutely no color variation is the result of artificial dyeing. The color is uniform and flawless.
