Bent wood is a craft that can transform ordinary wood into the curves of a piece of furniture, railings or anything else.
The so-called "bent wood" refers to furniture made of more than 20 layers of pure wood flakes, which are coated with glue, heat-cut, cut, polished, and made into furniture components. After assembly, they are polished and painted many times.
Modern bent wood originated in Northern Europe. The main production method is to put about 20 layers of veneer into a mold, use glue as an adhesive, and use high temperature and high pressure pressing methods to bend the veneer into the arc desired by the designer. The materials mainly use tough ash, birch, beech, poplar, etc. as the inner core material, and the surface can be combined with ash, birch, beech, etc. as the outer decoration.
Entering the Chinese market in the mid-1990s, compared with traditional furniture varieties, the biggest feature of bent wood is its unique curvature. Because the curves of the human body are fully considered in the manufacturing process, it can reduce the fatigue of users caused by long-term sitting and lying, making the human body feel more comfortable.
